With seven years of expertise in technical writing, editing, and public relations, I am proud to join Emmert Graphics. I have spent the past six years with the Radiological Society of North America, a promient biomedical imaging society that hosts the largest annual medical meeting in the world.

Within the society, after 4 years as an editor for our flagship medical journal, I moved into the marketing sector to become Copywriter and ultimately Manager of Media Relations, where I worked with the mainstream news media (everything from local papers and major news networks to national and international media). At my final annual meeting in 2005, our press conference line-up of cutting-edge biomedical research reached an audience of 5.8 billion people worldwide.

I specialize in taking technical content and making it palatable for the layperson. A large part of my responsibilities in the media sector involved composing the news content that we released to journalists and posted on our Web site. The content, though technical in nature, was geared toward a mainstream lay public with a fifth-grade reading level.

Prior to my work with the Radiological Society, I worked with the Carus Publishing Company in Chicago. I came to Chicago to conduct my graduate work at Northwestern University, after graduating from Texas Tech University in 1999 and receiving the prestigious Highest-Ranking Graduate Award, out of a graduating class of approximately 7,000.

I take my work very seriously, and give 110% on any and all projects I take on. I look forward to working with you!
